Mansfeld papers, 1864-1959 (bulk 1922-1952).

Correspondence, financial records, biographical information, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings and photographs relating to the Mansfeld family and their business interests. There is family correspondence, reminiscences of Jacob Mansfeld, diaries of Sam, 1921, and Florence, 1936-1949, and financial records of the family. Also present are records concerning monies owed to Jacob in the Tidball embezzlement case. Sam Mansfeld's correspondence, minutes and notes is present from organizations including the Thirteen Club, Arizona State Rifle Association, Pima Pistol Club, and the Arizona Civilian Defense Council. A scrapbook of Jacob's contains letters from Charles Poston and Gen. George Crook. Other scrapbooks relate to Monte Mansfield's car dealership, the Pima Pistol Club, and the Arizona State Rifle Association. Photographs are of family, a Sabino Canyon outing, a woman making tortillas, a trip to Mexico in 1892, and groups at pistol competitions.

Pioneer merchant and civic leader, Tucson, Ariz.; Sam owned the Eagle Milling Company with his uncle, Leo Goldschmidt. His brother, Monte Mansfield operated Monte Mansfield Motos, a Ford dealership.
